With this cable not only do you have access to the rear A/V input but the ability to use a generic RCA reverse camera and connect it directly to your factory receiver for an OE style reverse camera experience.

One of the biggest features missing from the G8 was the inclusion of a reverse camera. While there are a number of aftermarket solutions available, none of them take advantage of your G8’s factory full color display. This feature enables a factory reverse camera On/Off setting in the radio’s main settings menu. When enabled, the car will automatically switch to the video input that is plugged into the camera-specific RCA connection when in reverse.

Please Note: Reverse camera input will ONLY work head unit versions 9 and later. To check your software version, fist power down the radio. Then hold the track left, disc right and power buttons for 10 seconds. It will flash 3 pages; on the first page you will see AHU MCU Version. If it is 9.xx and above, you have the ability to complete this modification.
